I Know I'm a Yankee Fan But... Can I Get A Pair?

My desire for these has nothing to do with the Detroit Tigers' victory, my wish to tattoo "I told you so" onto the foreheads of every Yankee fan that told me I wasn't worthy of being one because I didn't believe in the $205M experiment, or anything else related to baseball.

I'd just like a pair for the weekends.

Jason Grilli #49 of the Detroit Tigers is seen in the locker room wearing battery power wiper glasses as the Tigers celebrate their 8-3 win against the New York Yankees during Game Four of the 2006 American League Division Series on October 7, 2006 at Comerica Park in Detroit, Michigan.

So what's up now Flashers? I'm expecting a total Yankee meltdown around here sometime today... give some true lunacy ala Lou Piniella :)

Sweet Lou? Why not go after Girardi?

Great Goggles, I could use a pair on occasion.

Nice glasses. I want a pair. This Yankees offseason should be entertaining to watch.

Has Girardi proven himself enough to take on the Yankees? He improved a really really really shitty Marlins team for one season. That's a pretty huge jump. Piniella at least knows the organization and has a lot of experience dealing with Steinbrenner as a member of the staff and not just as a player.

Lou Piniella is going to be an absolutely horrible choice. I didn't agree with a lot of the management decisions against the Tigers (Bernie and Sheffield playing the matchups, for instance) but this loss had more to do with team design than management. Hiring Piniella doesn't fix the problem. If our pitching is a problme now, wait until the King of letting pitchers die on the mound gets here.

So now Torre may not be fired? What is actually going on? It's probably time for Torre to go but what was up with the weekend reports? I'm reading now that it was all based on some random reporter's speculation and not anything remotely solid.

Bring back Yogi, and his buddy the AFLAC duck! At least you could laugh and cry at the same time Spunky. My condolences.
